JIM:
Who is he?
OLD MAN:
I aint nobody kid. I used to be. I owned
this trucking company that hauled freight
back and forth across the boarder.
JIM:
But, how'd you get in here?
OLD MAN:
You should know. You put me here.
JIM:
What are you talking about?
OLD MAN:
You're the one who buys the dope. If people
like you didn't buy dope then the mob
wouldn't have needed a way to smuggle it
into this country. As it happened, they
picked my truck line.
JIM:
Well, you could have said no.
OLD MAN:
Oh sure I could have, only they said they'd
kill my family, which they would have. So...
I had to let them use my trucks. Trouble is
that when they got caught the feds wouldn't
believe I wasn't in on it. I got a 20 year
sentence, lost my truck line paying legal
fees, no one believed me. Even my family
won't talk to me anymore, and now I'm no one.
The wizard pulls Jim away and they start toward another
cell, but the old man calls out as they walk away.
OLD MAN:
Hey kid, have another joint. Only this time
remember who's paying for it.
